| Time sure flies.. I've hit the last major beneficial milestone until
senior citizenship. I can now rent cars without getting taken advantage
of!
My coworkers rock. Yesterday, the big boss' wife brought a feast of a
lunch for us to eat and announced that, besides it also being a company
lunch meeting, it was firstly a meeting to celebrate my one year
anniversary of work at the office and secondly to celebrate my
birthday.
She brought a bunch of those aluminum foil containers filled over the
brim with food. There were salt and pepper fried chicken wings, chicken
with green beans, steamed gai lan, spring rolls, fried tofu w/ some
yummy dipping sauce, chow mein, and a couple of other things I can't
remember at the moment. Crazy good stuff. After lunch, she
brought out a giant Tart-to-Tart as my bday cake. Oh man, super super
crazy yummy!
I blew out the candles and then my coworkers gave me a nicely wrapped
present. I opened it to find a box of filing folders! Not just any
filing folders, THREE tab filing folders! hehe, I opened up the box to
find a nice polo shirt and a gift card to by myself some jeans.. they
said I don't dress casually enough at work because I'm the only one who
still wears slacks to work everyday. =P Did I mention my
coworkers rock?
After I got off of work, my sisters took me out to a fancy-shmancy
restaurant called "The Richmond Restaurant and Bar." I never heard of
it, but it's on Balboa near 7th avenue. The food was pretty good and
the service was great. They started us with complimentary deviled eggs
and bread with THREE kinds of butter. Did you know there were such
things as Olive and Herb butter? The olive tasted super olive-y. Those
that like olives would love the stuff. The Herb butter was pretty damn
good too. It was green pesto-looking color, but I think was made of
parsley. I ordered a rare steak. Though it was more medium-rare than
rare, it was still really good.
I would have been satisfied with the night ending there, but my sisters
wouldn't have that! They had a surprise planned for me... and taunted
me with half-hints and no confirmation on any of my guesses. hehe. We
ended up going disco bowling at the yerba buena! =) I found my bowling
skills have deteriorated from my already sorry previous level, but it
was fun! We played until they closed at midnight and they all wished my
a happy bday right then and there. They had it planned out! =)
As we were walking to the car, I we heard and saw fireworks! hehe, my
sisters claimed that was for me too! =) I'll just assume it was and not
the fireworks at a baseball game.. =P The fireworks weren't all my
sisters got for me! When we got home, they gave me a bunch of gifts!
They gave me super nicely wrapped small gifts. I opened them up one at
a time to find... A PLAYSTATION PORTABLE, a PUZZLE GAME for the PSP,
and a 1 GB Memory card for it! Craziness! Now, I'll have something to
do other than sleep on my muni ride to work in the morning! They also
got me another 100 pound weight set to add to the system they got me
for christmas! woohoo! now I don't have to move the weights around the
machine to use different functions anymore!
My sisters' posed me a "gilmore girl" question.. something along the
lines of "So, what do you have to complain about now that you're 25."
My initial answer was, "Why haven't I won the lottery yet." Honestly,
as of right now, I can't think of ANYTHING in my life that I am really
unhappy or could complain about. =)
I'm so lucky to be around such awesome people. My family, friends, and
coworkers are all super-duper incredibly wonderful people.

| haha, I haven't really been into college basketball, but it's pretty
crazy. If it wasn't for yahoo's fantasy tournament pick'em I
wouldn't have even kept up.. but there's no real super dominant team..
every game I've seen has been close and it's ALWAYS up for grabs..
haha, luckily for the upsets, it looks like I'll win in my league. =P
(I basically picked the teams with the shortest names to win cuz I had
no idea about the teams at all.) Thanks to jb for the bits of help.
I'll be winning about 15 bucks in our small pool and will get to pick
what kinda candy to buy for the non-winners. =P I can get A LOT of
heath, andes mints, and whatever other kinds of candy for 15
bucks..

| so, I don't have ANY natural talent for snowboarding, but it is pretty
damn fun. =) I feels like I fell twice for everytime I stood up and I
have soo many bruises and fell the wrong way so often that I'm
surprised that I didn't break anything. gotta try it again sometime!

| Happy Lunar New Years!
I hope a lot of ya'll got a lot of "luck" this new years! =)
I finally ventured over to the new and improved De Young Museum in GG
Park and I'm impressed by the architecture... but it's still boring as
heck to look at the statues/paintings/old stuff. heh, guess I haven't
matured enough yet. =/

| Happy New Years!
I hope yours was more eventful than mine. We spent new year's eve driving around in circles in the dark with a vase full of flowers and the first 5 minutes of new years day in a car humming the new years song and eating nestle crunch bells (on sale at safeway for half price!)... yes, a fun filled new years.. haha what we do for friends.
"you know what's romantic? GIVING the girl the flowers." (inside joke) | | |
